Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food portion is sufficient for me and taste wise, it’s quite nice. While waiting, you can opt for a free cup of winter melon tea to cool in this hot weather. Would be better if it’s located nearer to the office buildings but a good walk for those looking for one during lunch."
"Ordered it on Food Panda, I had the ‘Baked chicken breast rice roll’, which was flagged as the healthy, low fat option on the menu. The packaging is really nice and colourful, extremely generous portion! it’s enough for two people, maybe shareable for 3-4 small eaters! Nice flavours with good crunchy texture of the chicken skin? Not sure what it was and that leads to the confusion whether it’s truly ‘healthy’ and baked. Cause it tasted like fried chicken. There’s a lot of rice but the fillings were quite little. I think it’s pretty good value for money but I hope they could bake the chicken instead of frying it and to put a bit more chicken and vege, that’d be good."
"First time trying — overall quite satisfying! The Taiwanese rice roll is tasty, filling, and packed with generous ingredients. However, the fried egg had a strange smell, almost like a rotten egg, which affected the overall enjoyment. Ordered via Grab with GrabUnlimited and got RM12 off plus free delivery — such a good deal! Still worth a try for the rice roll itself, just hope the egg freshness improves next time."
"Salted egg rice roll was nice! Good flavours. Also, free herbal egg if you drop a review"
"Nice encounter to have a Taiwan Rice Roll available in Uptown. It comes with many options menu and free winter melon ice tea :)"
"I’ve been hearing about Ah Maa’s Taiwan Rice Rolls for a while, and I finally decided to try them — really glad I did. The rice rolls are simple but so satisfying. The rice is soft and warm, and they’re generous with the fillings without making it too heavy. I especially enjoyed the crunchy bits inside that give a nice contrast to the chewiness of the rice. Service was quick, and everything came out fresh. It’s the kind of comfort food that works any time of the day — breakfast, lunch, or even a light dinner. If you like something tasty, fuss-free, and a bit different from the usual choices, Ah Maa’s is worth stopping by. I’ll definitely be back to try more flavours."
"Tried the sausage fish fillet and classic chicken floss , looks good and definitely will come back again :) yummy and portion is big ^^ fast serving too . So appetizing to begin with :)"
"Yesterday after doing some grocery shopping at Speed 99 supermarket in uptown, I walked over to this mobile food truck to have a look at what they were selling. This truck is always parked by the side of Public Bank n sometimes I do see a queue waiting to buy their Taiwanese rice rolls. I was very curious n wanted to find out more about their signature n best seller menu. That morning about 3 people were waiting for their order. I read about their special menu .They offer a wide variety of rice rolls. First on the list is their signature dinosaur rice roll which is the most expensive - RM 35 ! The other variations are salted egg chicken, salted egg ham ( RM 17 ) , sausage fish, spicy carrot fish ( RM 16 ), classic rice roll , fried chicken, garlic beef , beef frank egg, ham egg ( RM 14 ) n lastly smoked duck ( RM 16 ). They also have vegetarian rice rolls ( RM 14 ) cos they are Muslim friendly. There is a free drink that comes with your purchase of a rice roll. If you give them a review , you will get a free herbal egg in return. I will recommend this rice roll to my family . You can also order online through Grab."
